The first man in the moon by hg wells6/30/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() The books then go on to describe an adventure that happens after the scientific feat has been accomplished, which is also a commentary on social inequality. Both start of with a scie ntist debating the possibility of a scientific feat, in The Time Machine it’s time-travel, in The first men in the moon it’s about creating a gas to counteract gravity. In a way it’s a very typical Wells’ book and very similar to The Time Machine. It truly shows Wells wonderful qualities as a writer, with a mixture of part Sci-Fi adventure and part social commentary. No book better represents why (of the books I have read so far) than The first men in the moon, and yet I would recommend everyone who loves Science Fiction, space, adventure or anything technological to read this book. Wells, I do, and yet I find myself loving his works more in theory than in practise. ![]()

Love and Shenanigans by Zara Keane6/30/2023 ![]() ![]() When choosing the title for your latest book(s) do you have a certain process? Or do you ask others or do you just wing it? If I recall correctly, she started publishing back in the 70s and she’s still writing today. Many of her books are on my Keeper Shelf. She’s had a long and varied career as a romance author. ![]() If you could choose any published author who you would love to brainstorm with who would you choose and why?Īnne Stuart. I loved the idea of books with guaranteed happy endings. I borrowed (okay, sneaked) some of my great-aunt’s Mills & Boon collection and was instantly hooked. I was staying with my grandparents and ran out of books. I discovered romance novels the summer I turned 12. My mother was an avid reader and there was never a shortage of books in our house. Tell us more about you and what drew you to your genre? Today we have with us the brilliant Zara Keane I am so in love with her Ballybeg Series its amazing and has some wicked LOL moments, I am so honoured too have her hear today Thank you. ![]() |
